2023 Tuition

The tuition increase will go into effect for this coming January 2023 Semester.
As a result, semester invoices issued on December 1, 2022, will reflect the tuition increase, with payment due on December 15, 2022.

We have tried to hold the line and not raise tuition, but because of rising costs, we must increase semester tuition. Even as we increase LEAD tuition, we believe that ministry training should be affordable but not cheap. To that end, we will work to provide accessible, affordable, and approved ministry equipping to all of our leaders.

A NOTE  CONCERNING SEMESTER 5: In years past, LEAD Students have not paid tuition in Semester 5. The 5th Semester was self-paced and did not have Cohort Gatherings or coaching calls. Also, in Semester 5, each student paid for and took the Perspectives On World Missions course independently and then went on a mission trip with their cohort. Over the last couple of years, we have noticed that students have had difficulty completing the 5th-semester work and, therefore, graduating. It felt as though the support they were used to from their cohort and Cohort Director had vanished, and some struggled to complete the final paper, go on the missions trip, and complete the Perspectives Course.

We are taking this opportunity to fill the gaps we’ve seen in Semester 5, which will require tuition to be charged. We have added significant value to Semester 5 by adding Cohort Gatherings and coaching calls, more intentional follow-through for the mission trip, and support for the final paper. Through our new partnership with Perspectives USA, the Perspectives On World Mission course is now included in the tuition price of Semester 5 and will no longer be an extra expense to our students.

Questions & Responses

How does this tuition increase impact my current scholarships?

Your current scholarships will continue to reduce your overall tuition responsibility. All students should review their current scholarships and, if needed, walk back through the LEAD Scholarship PathwayYou may walk through the scholarship pathway even if you have never applied in the past.

Can I change my payment plan?

You can change your payment plan for the new semester by making changes in your Student Payment Portal. As a reminder of the payment plan options, we have listed those below.

  • Plan A – 1-semester payment of $1620
  • Plan B – 2-semester payments of $810
  • Plan C – 6-semester payments of $270
Can I apply for a semester 5 scholarship?

Yes. We encourage all students to walk the Scholarship Pathway for their semester 5 tuition. For students who are in their fourth semester, the deadline to submit scholarship applications for your fifth semester is December 1, 2022.

I have already taken the Perspectives Course. Can I get credit for taking it previously?

If you have already completed Perspectives On World Missions, you will receive credit for previously taking the course. Once you upload your certificate of completion to your Canvas instance to verify completion, send an email to bookkeeper@leadcma.org to receive a reduction in your semester 5 tuition of $225. You will still need to be present for the Cohort Gatherings that will discuss the course content. Make sure to scan back through your Perspectives book, so you are fresh for discussion.
