Students work through the LEAD Program in small groups called cohorts. Cohorts are made up of 6-8 people who meet once a month for Cohort Gatherings. Students may be able to meet locally, or join digitally because of distance. Every cohort is led by a Certified Cohort Director.
The LEAD Program is made up of six modules completed over approximately two years. The program begins with a one-month introductory module, Foundations of Leadership. After completing the introductory module, students may enroll in the remaining modules in any order. These include four core modules that are each four months in length and one eight-month module, which includes a mission trip component. Throughout each module, students engage in new assignments and monthly group meetings. Each module concludes with a one-month break before the next module begins, allowing students time to rest and prepare for the next phase of the program.
During each module, students meet monthly for a one-hour session with their Cohort Director, focusing on individualized development, guidance, and practical application.
On average, the LEAD Program requires approximately 26–30 hours per month, which includes coursework, reading, written assignments, and participation in monthly cohort gatherings. Setting aside six to seven hours per week will allow students to stay on track, fully engage with the material, and participate well in the program.
