Chaffee Legacy Scholarship

Rev. Bob Chaffee was a graduate of Highland High School and Ohio Wesleyan University. He was a Coro executive for 29 years until he transitioned into pastoral ministry. He was a pastor of Grace church in Middleburg Heights for seven years. He was a faithful follower of Christ who loved to mentor men. After a brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer, Bob met his Savior face to face.

The Chaffee Legacy Scholarship is a national scholarship established by the Chaffee Family whose passion is to see men and women equipped to be ministry leaders. The pathway to apply for a Chaffee Legacy Scholarship is straight forward. The first step is to approach your local church to see if they have any monies set aside to aid in ongoing education. After you have connected with your church, we encourage all applicants to connect with their C&MA district to request financial assistance. Once these two avenues have been explored then you are ready to apply for the national LEAD Scholarship – The Chaffee Legacy Scholarship.

Those that are approved can expect to receive up to $900 for the year. Students need to apply for the scholarship each year of the program.

LEAD students who are applying to receive an award from the Chaffee Legacy Scholarship Fund should be prepared to submit information concerning their ministry engagement, future ministry goals, a brief financial snapshot, how much financial assistance their home church and district are able to give and why this scholarship should be invested in them. Complete the application below to be considered for a Chaffee Legacy Scholarship.

Applications will be reviewed by the Chaffee Legacy Scholarship Committee and applicants will be notified of their award via email.
